Shelf life: we suggest eating our lebkuchen within a few weeks for optimal texture and taste, but as long as you store it in an airtight container and in a cool, dry place, you can continue to enjoy your lebkuchen for many months. Just keep in mind that it will lose moisture over time. You can try to revive lebkuchen that has lost some moisture by placing a piece of sliced apple inside the container for a day or two and then removing it.

Yummy cookies that remind my father of how his mother used to make hers. This is the second year I've ordered cookies from this great company. Last year, I was late ordering and Sandy went out of her way to help me get them to my father by Christmas day. Such personalized service is so rare - and, again, the cookies are the best!
